The problem
Licence requests come by email, IT assigns seats manually, and nobody knows who approved what.
The outcome
Self-service requests, approval trail, and seats assigned within minutes via group-based provisioning.
Before you start
- Adobe Admin Console connected to Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD sync or User Sync Tool) with product profiles mapped to security groups.
Build it step by step
- Request — User picks the product and gives a business reason.
- Approve — Manager approval, then IT/finance approval if the product is Creative Cloud Pro.
- Check available seats — Read a
Licence Poollist; if none free, create a purchase request instead. - Assign — Add user to group for the product's security group; Adobe sync provisions the seat.
- Confirm — Email the user installation instructions and log the assignment.
Connector action names are shown as they appear in Power Automate at the time of writing; Microsoft and Adobe occasionally rename actions or add new versions.
Error handling
- Sync runs on a schedule — tell users their access may take up to the sync interval.
Licensing
- Standard connectors; Entra ID group management requires admin-consented connections.
Variations
- Route Creative Cloud requests through a 'try Adobe Express first' suggestion for occasional creators.
